Most teams don’t struggle because people aren’t good enough

They struggle because:
  • priorities shift faster than alignment can keep up
As new information and demands emerge, the team keeps adjusting but never quite gets fully aligned on what matters most right now. Effort is spread thin, and progress slows.
  • delivery pressure overrides reflection
There’s always another deadline, so the team keeps moving without pausing to fix what’s not working, and the same issues repeat sprint after sprint.
  • communication becomes functional, not effective
Information is exchanged, but real understanding is missing — conversations stay at the level of updates and tasks, rather than addressing misalignment, assumptions, or uncertainty.
  • small tensions go unaddressed until they affect output
Friction gets brushed aside in the moment, but over time it shows up as misalignment, hesitation, or quiet resistance that impacts delivery.
I Provide Value
I work with teams as a fractional Scrum Master, offering focused, consistent support without the overhead of a full-time role.

This isn’t just running ceremonies.
  • Creating clarity
So priorities, and ways of working are understood and consistently applied - not reinterpreted every sprint.
    01
  • Stabilising Delivery Flow
So work moves at a steady, predictable pace, with fewer bottlenecks, last-minute surprises, or carryover.
    02
  • Supporting better decision-making
So the team and stakeholders can make timely, informed decisions without unnecessary back-and-forth or second-guessing.
    03
  • Surfacing and resolving what’s getting in the way
So blockers, misalignment, and hidden friction are addressed directly — instead of being worked around or absorbed by the team.
    04
The aim is simple: a team that works well, without needing constant intervention.
What Changes
Over time, the shift is usually noticeable in a few ways:
Work is more clearly tied to real outcomes
The team isn’t just busy, what they’re doing connects directly to what the business actually needs.
The team stops waiting and starts owning
Decisions are made within the team, and most issues are resolved without escalation or delay.
People speak up and deal with things early
Tension and disagreement are handled directly, before they turn into bigger problems.
Less friction across the wider system
Dependencies, blockers, and cross-team slowdowns are surfaced and addressed, not absorbed by the team.
A steadier pace, without burnout or rework
Delivery becomes more sustainable, with fewer last-minute pushes and fewer quality issues later.
Continuous improvement actually happens
The team learns as it goes — and adjusts — instead of repeating the same problems.
About Me
I’ve spent over six years working as a Scrum Master across software teams and organisations under pressure - where delivery matters, but how the team works matters just as much. What I’ve seen consistently is this: most teams aren’t struggling because of a lack of skill or effort. They’re dealing with complexity, shifting demands, and ways of working that no longer fit, and that creates friction, even in strong teams. My role is to step into that environment and bring clarity, steadiness, and perspective. I don’t just facilitate process. I pay attention to how the team is functioning underneath it, where work slows down, where communication breaks down, and where things are being worked around instead of resolved.

I bring a background in psychology, communication, and coaching. That allows me to work with both the visible delivery challenges and the less visible dynamics that shape how a team performs.
The aim isn’t to make the team dependent on me. It’s to help them become clear, capable, and easier to work within — so delivery becomes more consistent, and the day-to-day feels less effortful.
Services
Teams are under more pressure than ever—faster delivery, more complexity, more change. I integrate insight with coaching and leadership to surface and influence what's actually going on underneath: avoidance, misalignment, tension, unclear ownership, unspoken conflict, quiet disengagement.
